It's only about 7 weeks until I fly out to Tokyo with Mum - can't wait! I found this photo on Flickr, of Ginza, the mad shopping district of Tokyo. I'm hoping to get some pics just like this when I'm there - if Mum, a non-photographer, will put up with the boredom of long exposures :)

Friday's Fantasy - Moroccan Landscape

Ah, Morocco! This photo brings back memories of an amazing two weeks in Northern Africa nearly three years ago.

We traversed the country, from the chaos and colour of Marrakech, to the High Atlas mountains and Sahara Desert.

This landscape greeted us as the coach driver stopped on the side of the road so we could sample some local fruit. What an amazing place! Hope it brings back memories for Paula, Susie and Billy :)

Ah, gotta love the land of the long white cloud. I took this shot a couple of years ago on a mad Contiki tour through the South Island of New Zealand.

This was the stunning scenery that awaited us on our drive into Milford Sound.

On the downhill slide into this weekend, I'm pondering the amazing landscape in Capadoccia, western Turkey.

I took this shot from about 1,000ft in one of the 30 or so hot air balloons floating around on this perfectly crisp morning.

Friday's Fantasy: Plitvice Lakes National Park

It's a wet old Friday in Brisvegas, which got me thinking about some of the awesome places I've visited (and fantasise about visiting again!). I'm going to make Friday's Fantasy a regular post, mainly to drive my travel bug insane.

I took this shot at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, one of the most stunningly scenic places I've ever visited. The water really was that colour - in fact the pictures don't do it justice. I shot it with my trusty little Canon Ixus point & shoot. If only I'd had the 5D II.
